A Little Snow And A Lot of Pasta Fagioli

Lenten Dinners - Knights of ColumbusThe Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 served another successful Lenten Dinner on Friday March 9, 2018. The dinners were served immediately following the Stations of the Cross at the Church of the Infant Saviour Roman Catholic Church.

Brother Knights served patrons and fellow Knights alike. We had a strong showing of volunteers and that made the event run smoothly. Patrons got their meals quickly and the line moved along without a delay.

Pasta Fagioli (that’s pronounced Fazool for the non-Italians) was the meal of the night. The soup was thick, robust, and filled with noodles– sixteen ounces was enough to fill even the hardiest Knight or hungry parishioner in the midst of fasting.

Thank you to all the Brother Knights who volunteered and to all our the patrons who braved the light snow to get a meal well worth the trip!

Next week’s menu is your choice of either New England (white) and Manhattan (red) clam chowder in a sixteen ounce “to go” cup. Dinner will be served starting at approximately 7 pm on March 16, 2018 in the Church Parish Hall following the Stations of the Cross (as usual).

A sign sheet for orders will be in the Church Atrium after each mass this weekend. If you miss signing up this weekend you can also call or text Joe Ditizio at 917-859-6383. Alternately you can also email us your order at kofc5329@hvc.rr.com. All orders must been in by THURSDAY morning at 9 AM.
