Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 – Feb. 2018 Activities Summary
- Completed our 2018 Super Bowl Pool Fundraiser – Vital to supporting our Council’s good works for the year. This fundraiser covered the cost to feed seventy families within our Parish Community area of Pine Bush, NY a Christmas dinner this past December 2017 and will be used for other good works in the community throughout 2018.
- Annual Army Hockey Group Outing – Building fraternity and community spirit through group outings.
- Donation of Cabinet for Church of the Infant Saviour Hall Kitchen Stove – Built by Knight Mike Fenick with supplies paid for by our Council. Last year we purchased the stove for the Church and this year we built a cabinet, so the stove can be safely used by our Parish Community.
- Free Community Lenten Dinner – Hosted on 2/16/18 a free linguine dinner for the Church community. This is another event that builds fraternity in our Council and community spirit within our Parish.
- Raised Crucifix for Lenten Season at Church – The cross was built by Jerry Domingue through supplies paid for by the Council. The Knights raised the cross on 2/12/18. It’s over twenty feet tall and will stay up throughout the Lenten/Easter season as a sign of faith and to aide in evangelization for our Parish community.
- Built a new website (http://kofc5329.org/) as part of renaming of our Council as Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 – This will be the main way for our Parish community to keep up to date on events, fundraisers, and ongoing works by our Council. Knight Chris Welch built the site and is donating the web hosting for it.
- In coordination with this we also launched a new Facebook site (https://www.facebook.com/kofc5329/).
