Knights Online Membership Site Launched

Join the Knights today!

As reported by Catholic New York among  many other news agencies, the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council on March 2, 2018 launched  an Online Membership Site that will allow interested recruiting candidates to join their State’s Knights Council online through a web based registration process.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church.

“It is a very important step in the way of reaching today’s young men where they are,” Michele Nuzzo-Naglieri, a spokeswoman for the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council, told CNY by email March 27.

“Online membership is a great and quick vehicle for men to get to know the Knights of Columbus—to access rich formative materials, and to prepare themselves to join a council when the time is right for them,” Ms. Nuzzo-Naglieri said.

Registration includes the online payment of first year’s dues using a credit card. Once a candidate has joined the Knights he can attend any local Council meeting he wishes. Candidates are also given the option during the registration process of joining a local Council. Candidates will not be able to vote at the local Council meeting unless they are a registered member of that local Council. The online membership process does make you a Knight, but only at the State level. To fully join the local Council the candidate Knight must complete an orientation meeting with the local Council and then officially join as a local Council member. At that point you will gain voting privileges.

If you are interested in becoming a a Knight applications are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus or you join online today. If you have any questions you are welcome to contact us. Our Council Officers would be happy to answer any questions you may have and guide you through the recruitment process.
