The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 has added three new books to our Bookshare Library. The Bookshare Library is located in the Front Atrium of the Church of the Infant Saviour in Pine Bush, NY.
All Parishioners are welcome to borrow the books free of charge. We ask that you return the books in a timely manner and do not keep them longer than two weeks so that other Parishioners may enjoy them as well. We also ask you only take out one book at time from the Bookshare, again so others can enjoy the books as well.
The new books added are as follows:
The Four Last Things – Fr. Wade Menezes, EWTN television host and Assistant General of the Fathers of Mercy, shows us that God has not called us to His wrath, but to salvation. He shows us that Heaven and Hell, salvation and damnation, eternal life and eternal punishment are all complementary doctrines. They need each other to be complete and we must understand the Church’s teachings on all of these doctrines in order to have a balanced view of the world.
Everyman Today Called Rome – This is the book that put Charles Coulombe on the map, as a force to be reckoned with! It is comprised of three sections. The first and largest section outlines the history of world events which have shaped our world and have ultimately led to the current crisis in the Church. The second part discusses changes in the approach to the Mass, the Sacraments, and Christian life as a whole.
The Triumph, the Power, and the Glory of the Catholic Church – A brawling, colorful history full of inspiring pageantry and spirited polemic, Triumph will exhilarate, amuse, and infuriate as it extols the glories of Catholic history and the gripping stories of its greatest men and women.
Finally, if you have borrowed a book from the Bookshare and have had it more than two weeks please return the book so other Parishioners may enjoy the books.
We hope everyone enjoys the new books and takes the opportunity to read them in order to further develop your faith and understanding of our Catholic belief.
