RSVP Seminarian Ordained a Priest in NY Archdiocese – The Knights of Columbus Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP) allows a local Council to “adopt” a seminarian each year to help that seminary candidate both financially and morally so that they can work towards ordination. Our Council “adopted” seminarian Kareem Smith these last year three years (2016-2018) as part of the RSVP program. On 5/26/18 Kareem was ordained a Priest by Cardinal Dolan. You can find out more about Father Kareem here. We’ll be choosing a new seminarian to adopt next year with hopes to repeat our efforts and help another seminarian work his way towards the Priesthood successfully.

Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 – Looking Ahead for 2018

Summer Social Activity – We are going to be holding a Summer Social Hour for all active Council members over the Summer at the Council Hall. The Council is also working on setting up an off site Social Activity for Knights and their spouses. More info to follow as plans are firmed up– watch your email for more info!

Religious Education Support Donation – Last year we donated money to the Church of the Infant Saviour Catechism Religious Education Program. This program educates children in school grades first through seventh grade in Catholic belief and faith. The curriculum works each child towards the Sacraments of Communion and Confirmation. Our Council will once again be making a donation this year to the program. An announcement will be made as we draw closer towards the donation. Our Council has decided to make this donation part of our Annual Charitable Giving plan and is yet another way our Council helps the local Catholic community through charitable giving, as well as, volunteer work. Currently three of our Council Brother Knights are Catechists in the program and have been for several years.
