Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 – August 2018 Activities Summary
New Council Branded Polo Shirts – There is still time to order one of our newly branded polo shirts featuring our new Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 branding. Details about the shirt can be found in the original article. If you have any questions or would like to order one you can contact us to do so. We have received many positive compliments about the new polo design from parishioners, the Religious, and our Brother Knights in other Councils. Many of our Council members are wearing them to Mass and we encourage doing so as it increases our visibility in our Parish Community. Wearing the polo lets others know we are proud of the good works we do in our community and our Parish, as well as, to encourage them to join our Council so they can help us continue that work. If you are interested in becoming a Knight of Columbus you can do so online.
2018 Get Out the Vote – The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a “Get Out the Vote” campaign to encourage eligible citizens to register to vote, as well as, to encourage those who are already registered to vote to do so come this Election Day on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. As Catholics, members of the Knights of Columbus should vote and should encourage other members of their families, parishes, and communities to vote. Yet many people, especially some senior citizens and people with disabilities, have trouble getting to the polls on voting day. To help fellow Catholics get to the polls to exercise their right to vote, the Knights of Columbus has developed the parish-based Knights of Columbus Nonpartisan National Get Out The Vote Program. You can find out more here.

Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 – Looking Ahead for 2018
Religious Education Support Donation – Last year we donated money to the Church of the Infant Saviour Catechism Religious Education Program. This program educates children in school grades first through seventh grade in Catholic belief and faith. The curriculum works each child towards the Sacraments of Communion and Confirmation. Our Council will once again be making a donation this year to the program. An announcement will be made as we draw closer towards the donation. Our Council has decided to make this donation part of our Annual Charitable Giving plan and is yet another way our Council helps the local Catholic community through charitable giving, as well as, volunteer work. Currently three of our Council Brother Knights are Catechists in the program and have been for several years.
