Fourth Clam Chowder Dinner Held 3/29/19, Fifth Pasta Fagioli Soup Dinner scheduled for 4/5/19

Lenten Dinners - Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 held its fourth Lenten Dinner for 2019 on Friday; March 29, 2019 at the Church of the Infant Saviour Church Hall (22 Holland Ave.; Pine Bush, NY 12566). The event immediately followed the Stations of the Cross at the Church. Patrons picked up homemade clam chowder soup for our fourth Lenten meal. The dinner was take out only and the cost was $5 per serving. The clam chowder came in two flavors– New York style (red) and New England style (white). No matter which version you picked it was excellent. Patrons loved the spicy Manhattan Clam Chowder (recipe by Grand Knight Charlie Cino) and the creamy luxurious taste of the New England Clam Chowder (recipe by Brother Knight Joe LeClair). The event was a sell out success! We ran through all our soup by 7:15 pm and had just enough to fill all our orders. Thank to our Church Pastor Father Rodrigo, as well as, all the Parishioners and patrons who turned out for the dinner for their continued support. Also a big thank you to all the Brother Knights who generously donated their time to the event. We appreciate all your support and keep you all continuously in our prayers!

This week on Friday; April 5, 2019 we will be serving our fifth 2019 Lenten Dinner. The menu is pasta fagioli soup (that’s “fah-zool” for those of you who don’t speak Italian). The dinner is take out only and the cost is $5 per serving. There was an order list in the Church Atrium and also another order list in the Church Hall after each Mass this past weekend for you to place orders for the event. If you missed signing up on those lists there is still time to order via email! All orders must be in by Thursday; April 4, 2019 at 5 pm so please send your meal requests in ASAP. Thank you in advance for your continued support– it is appreciated!

As always we need volunteers so any Brother Knight who would like to help out is welcome to do so. Please be at the Church Hall by 6 pm if you wish to help out.

Meals will start being served after the 6:30 pm Stations of the Cross concludes in the main Church (around 6:50 pm). All meals can be picked up in the Church of the Infant Saviour Church Hall starting at that time. Please be aware that doors will close at 7:30 pm. If you need to arrange a later pickup please let us know ahead of time.

Once again thank you in advance for your support and patronage– we look forward to seeing you there!

Our last Lenten Dinner Meal for 2019 will be served on April 12, 2019 following the Stations of the Cross at the Church (around 6:50 pm). The event will be a Pizza and a Movie Night. The cost is $5/slice (and they are huge slices). The event is take out or stay in. Those who stay will receive free refreshments and a movie will be shown at no extra charge. Dining will be Community Dinner style. This is a great opportunity to catch up with friends and family, as well as, to meet others in our Parish Community who you may not have had a chance to talk to before. The pizza is Sicilian style and is completely homemade from scratch. The dough is sourced locally from a pizzeria and features Grand Knight Charlie Cino’s signature marinara sauce and heaping cheese. A few weeks back during our second Lenten Dinner we had a preview of what is to come. If you missed it you can check out the pictures here. This a Parish Community favorite and there is sure to be a large turn out. More info about the event will be posted on our web site next week. Orders will be taken via email or through the sign up sheets in the Church that will be available after this weekend’s masses starting on Saturday; April 6, 2016. Orders must be received by 4/11/19 at 5 pm. Hope to see you there too!
