The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 held its fifth 2019 Lenten Dinner on Friday; April 5, 2019. The menu was pasta fagioli soup (fah-zool). The dinner was take out only and the cost was $5 per serving. The event was held at the Church of the Infant Saviour Church Hall (22 Holland Ave.; Pine Bush, NY 12566). The event immediately followed the Stations of the Cross at the Church. The dinner was take out only and the cost was $5 per serving. This was the second time this year we served a homemade pasta fagioli soup meal, but there was no loss of enthusiasm for it. The turn out was very good. Just like last time the soup was very filling, as well as, delicious. We sold out so fast we did not even get a single picture this time! Thank to our Church Pastor Father Rodrigo, as well as, all the Parishioners and patrons who turned out for the dinner for their continued support. Also a big thank you to all the Brother Knights who generously donated their time to the event. We appreciate all your support!
Our last Lenten Dinner Meal for 2019 will be served on Friday; April 12, 2019 at the Infant Saviour Church Hall. The event will be a Pizza and a Movie Night. The cost is $5 per serving/order for two slices and these are big slices. The event is take out or stay in. There are four orders per whole pie or 8 slices. Whole pies are $15 each (order as 4 orders to get a whole pie). Those who stay will receive free refreshments and a movie will be shown at no extra charge. Dining will be Community Dinner style. This is a great opportunity to catch up with friends and family, as well as, to meet others in our Parish Community who you may not have had a chance to talk to before. The pizza is Sicilian style and is completely homemade from scratch. The dough is sourced freshly made from a local pizzeria and features Grand Knight Charlie Cino’s signature marinara sauce and a heaping helping of mozzarella cheese. You can see pictures of last year’s Pizza & Movie Night below to check out what the pies look like.
Meals will start being served after the 6:30 pm Stations of the Cross concludes in the main Church (around 6:50 pm). All meals can be picked up in the Church of the Infant Saviour Church Hall starting at that time. Tables will be available for those who wish to stay at the Community Dinner in the Church Hall as well. Please be aware that orders will stop being taken at 8:00 pm. If you need to arrange a later pickup please let us know ahead of time. The event itself will end after the movie finishes around 9:30 pm.
The movie being shown will be “Paul, Apostle of Christ”. You can find out more about the movie on IMDB here. The summary on IMDB states: The story covers Paul going from the most infamous persecutor of Christians to Jesus Christ’s most influential apostle. The movie will start at around 7:30 PM.
An order sheet will be available in the Church Atrium and the Church Hall after each of this weekend’s masses. You can also submit your meal orders via email. All meal orders must be received by April 4, 2019 at 5 pm. We hope to see you there and thank you in advance for your continued support!
We will need Brother Knights to help out at this event to make sure all runs smoothly. We expect a large turn out and as such the more volunteers the better! Please be at the Church Hall by 6 pm if you wish to help out.
Once again thank you in advance for your support and patronage– we look forward to seeing you there!
