EVENT REMINDER – The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 wil be sponsoring a Consecration to the Holy Family Mass this Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 5 pm at the Church of the Infant Saviour. The consecration is meant to help strengthen families and revitalize our Parish. Our Council is inviting every family within our parish to consecrate themselves to the Holy Family and to devote themselves to the ideal model of familial love set by Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
If you would like to participate:
It’s suggested that you pray this prayer with your family each day leading up to the Consecration itself. Prayer cards for the Consecration are currently available at the Church of the Infant Saviour and have been placed in the pews of the church for this purpose.
It’s encouraged that each family intentionally fast from something ahead of the Consecration in order to better focus our minds on God and His will for our lives and the lives of our family members. The fast should last at least a week leading up to the Consecration.
It’s strongly encouraged that each member of a participating family avail themselves of the Sacrament of Reconciliation before the Consecration.
A special Holy Hour will be held before the Mass starting at 3:45 pm and ending at 4:45 pm. We strongly recommend all families who plan to participate in the Consecration mass attend this Holy Hour as well. We will be praying for the success of this event in our parish during this hour, adoring the Blessed Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist during the hour, and a priests will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation so that participating families may be in a state of grace for the Consecration as recommended by event guidelines above.
Anyone may attend the Holy Hour and the Consecration mass. Your attendance would be a wonderful devotion and your prayers for the families of our Parish and others would assist in the success of the Consecration.
The Consecration to the Holy Family will take place on Sunday, November 23rd at the 5:00PM Mass.
