2020 College Scholarship Essays Due

The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 of Pine Bush, New York are offering a $500 scholarship for a graduating senior that lives in the Pine Bush School District. In keeping with our faith, all applicants should write an essay addressing the following:

“When someone states that they are against the Catholic Church or won’t attend Mass because of the scandals involving the clergy, how can I counsel them that the Catholic Church is still the one formed by Jesus Christ who offers his true presence in the Eucharist on a daily basis in the sacrifice of the Mass?”

The essay should be between 250-300 words and typewritten. One winner will be chosen.

The following qualifications are in place:

1.) Reside in the Pine Bush School District

2.) Graduating Senior that is attending a college in the Fall 2020

3.) Practicing Catholic

4.) Essays must be received no later than May 22, 2020.
