COR Catholic Men’s Monthly Prayer Group Meeting

ATTENTION MEN OF CHURCH OF THE INFANT SAVIOUR, ST PAUL’S CHURCH, & OUR LADY OF THE VALLEY MISSION CHURCH – You are invited to attend our Cor Catholic Men’s Monthly Prayer Group!
Cor will be held from 9-10 am on Saturday, March 21, 2026 in the Church of the Infant Saviour Parish Hall. Directions can be found below. Come join your brother parishioners for coffee, breakfast snacks, prayer and fraternity!
What is Cor? “Cor” refers to the Latin word for heart and focuses on the idea of helping Catholic men to grow their heart’s spiritual strength through prayer, formation, and fraternity firmly rooted in the Catholic Faith and its teachings. This prayer group meets once per month and is done in a very firm one hour window so not to be burdensome of your schedule, but at the same time remain efficiently focused in its purpose of fostering growth in your Catholic Faith.
The Monsignor James S. Conlan Knights of Columbus Council #5329 both facilitate each Cor prayer group meeting and sponsor Cor’s operation at no cost to the Parish or its participants. The meeting is completely free and requires no purchase of materials (though we do recommend bringing a rosary if you have one). This a recently started formation and fraternal opportunity for the men of our local parishes of the Church of the Infant Saviour, Our Lady of the Valley, and St. Paul’s RC Church that was started mid-2025 and has met every month since its inception.
Cor exists to form and strengthen Catholic men in faith and virtue as missionary disciples by drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, formation, and fraternity. In order to attend the Cor Prayer group, you must be a Catholic male adult (over the age of 18 years old) and a member of the Church of Infant Saviour in Pine Bush, St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bullville or Our Lady of the Valley mission church in Walker Valley. You do not need to be a member of the Knights of Columbus but certainly are welcome to attend if you are one. You are welcome to bring guests and they do not have to be part of the aforementioned parishes but those guests do need to be Catholic male adults in order to attend the meeting.
Please no children or females as this is a fraternal Catholic prayer group. Why? The idea of an adult Catholic men’s only prayer group is to both foster a prayer community in a fraternal focused manner as well as to also address the issues, challenges, and situations that male Catholics face in our modern world that are particular to the adult men in our Faith. This is not to exclude anyone at all, but to instead insure the prayer group remains focused on the men of these parishes along with their specific spiritual development needs.
Light snacks and beverages such as coffee or muffins are served to all attendees at no cost. Feel free to bring along your own coffee or breakfast if you would like to. We do make time for fraternal discussions and all attendees are welcome to eat breakfast during that time. We begin each meeting with a rosary lead by one of the Knights so if you wanted to bring your rosary with you, you are encouraged to do so. If you have never said a rosary before do not be afraid to attend. You will be guided through it by the prayer leader. We make the meeting totally accessible to all levels of Catholic men whether you are just interested in starting to learn about your Catholic Faith or you have been a longtime practitioner of it for decades with hundreds of prayers memorized. We will meet you where ever you are at with no stigma about it.
We hope to see you there and that you will take advantage of this wonderful spiritual development opportunity that will only cost you one hour of your time a month, but lead to a lifetime of spiritual growth in your Christian Faith!
