SUMMARY:2026 Annual Pine Bush Memorial Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 will be marching in the Annual Pine Bush Memorial Day Parade in support of our veterans and active military service soldiers with special remembrance of all those veterans who have died in service to our country whether in times of peace or war\, in service or retirement. The Annual Pine Bush Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday\, May 25\, 2026. The parade steps off at 9a ET and all Brother Knights interested in joining should gather at the Crispell Middle School rear parking lot by 8a ET. \nThe parade will follow a route along Route 302 starting at the Crispell Middle School and leading to the intersection with Route 52 and Main Street. The parade will then continue down Maple Avenue and around onto North Street with the route ending at the Veteran’s Memorial in the Pine Bush Town Park on Red Mills Road. A ceremony will be held at the Veterans’ Memorial monument in the Town Park to remember all those veterans who have passed away with local State\, County\, and Town officials officiating the service. \nMany other civic and non-profit community organizations are expected to join us in the parade. Veterans groups including the American Legion Post 1308 Pine Bush NY and the Eugene Kelly Catholic War Veterans Post 1937 (Pine Bush NY) along with many local first responders\, law enforcement\, and emergency responders from the surrounding area including our own Town of Crawford Police Department\, Pine Bush Volunteer Fire Department\, and Pine Bush Emergency Volunteer Ambulance Corps will be marching as well. Many of our Brother Knights are members of these groups as well and will be marching with these organizations as they are veterans or volunteers in these other groups that are wonderful civic organizations that provide veterans with a chance to continue to serve their communities in their retired civilian life as well as find support among fellow veterans in that community service. Other Brother Knights from our Council are volunteer first responders and emergency medical responders who volunteer in our local volunteer fire and ambulance departments. They too will be marching with these groups. We are proud of all our members and their service to country\, community and Church regardless of where they will be marching in the parade. We are also proud of our Brother Knights who are veterans or retired first responders including former law enforcement officers\, full time fire department fire fighters or professional EMTs that continue to serve others in our Pine Bush community well beyond their final day of service in these very challenging roles. \nPlease come out along the Pine Bush Memorial Day Parade route to applaud\, cheer\, and encourage all who are marching especially our active and veteran military members. This year is particularly important as it is the 250th anniversary of the United States of America as a country. This year’s parade will also salute that anniversary. It is all the more reason for you to get up early and show up to support all the honorees in the parade! \nFinally we also encourage you to attend the Memorial Day ceremony in the Pine Bush Town Park as this portion of the parade will have a solemn ceremony to honor all our deceased veterans. This is the core meaning of Memorial Day as it is a national holiday dedicated to the memory of all our veteran military members who have died in either service or in retirement (Veteran’s Day honors our living veterans). It is a poignant reminder that all our veterans active or retired (living or deceased) have sacrificed greatly for our freedom in America. Let us continue to honor and thank them for this sacrifice as well as the families they have left behind in so many cases to carry on without them present in this world or their temporal lives. \nLet us also pray for all those veterans who are deceased along with their families who bear the burden of their loss of a loved one during this day of solemn remembrance. May all our deceased veterans’ souls rest in eternal peace with the Lord and may their families find solace in the Lord’s healing presence in their hearts. \n“Eternal rest grant unto them\, O Lord\, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed\, through the mercy of God\, rest in peace. Amen” \n

SUMMARY:COR Catholic Men's Monthly Prayer Group Meeting
DESCRIPTION:ATTENTION MEN OF CHURCH OF THE INFANT SAVIOUR\, ST PAUL’S CHURCH\, & OUR LADY OF THE VALLEY MISSION CHURCH – You are invited to attend our Cor Catholic Men’s Monthly Prayer Group!\nCor will be held from 9-10 am on Saturday\, April 18\, 2026 in the Church of the Infant Saviour Parish Hall. Directions can be found below. Come join your brother parishioners for coffee\, breakfast snacks\, prayer and fraternity!\nWhat is Cor? “Cor” refers to the Latin word for heart and focuses on the idea of helping Catholic men to grow their heart’s spiritual strength through prayer\, formation\, and fraternity firmly rooted in the Catholic Faith and its teachings. This prayer group meets once per month and is done in a very firm one hour window so not to be burdensome of your schedule\, but at the same time remain efficiently focused in its purpose of fostering growth in your Catholic Faith. \nThe Monsignor James S. Conlan Knights of Columbus Council #5329 both facilitate each Cor prayer group meeting and sponsor Cor’s operation at no cost to the Parish or its participants. The meeting is completely free and requires no purchase of materials (though we do recommend bringing a rosary if you have one). This a recently started formation and fraternal opportunity for the men of our local parishes of the Church of the Infant Saviour\, Our Lady of the Valley\, and St. Paul’s RC Church that was started mid-2025 and has met every month since its inception. \nCor exists to form and strengthen Catholic men in faith and virtue as missionary disciples by drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer\, formation\, and fraternity. In order to attend the Cor Prayer group\, you must be a Catholic male adult (over the age of 18 years old) and a member of the Church of Infant Saviour in Pine Bush\, St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bullville or Our Lady of the Valley mission church in Walker Valley. You do not need to be a member of the Knights of Columbus but certainly are welcome to attend if you are one. You are welcome to bring guests and they do not have to be part of the aforementioned parishes but those guests do need to be Catholic male adults in order to attend the meeting. \nPlease no children or females as this is a fraternal Catholic prayer group. Why? The idea of an adult Catholic men’s only prayer group is to both foster a prayer community in a fraternal focused manner as well as to also address the issues\, challenges\, and situations that male Catholics face in our modern world that are particular to the adult men in our Faith. This is not to exclude anyone at all\, but to instead insure the prayer group remains focused on the men of these parishes along with their specific spiritual development needs. \nLight snacks and beverages such as coffee or muffins are served to all attendees at no cost. Feel free to bring along your own coffee or breakfast if you would like to. We do make time for fraternal discussions and all attendees are welcome to eat breakfast during that time. We begin each meeting with a rosary lead by one of the Knights so if you wanted to bring your rosary with you\, you are encouraged to do so. If you have never said a rosary before do not be afraid to attend. You will be guided through it by the prayer leader. We make the meeting totally accessible to all levels of Catholic men whether you are just interested in starting to learn about your Catholic Faith or you have been a longtime practitioner of it for decades with hundreds of prayers memorized. We will meet you where ever you are at with no stigma about it. \nWe hope to see you there and that you will take advantage of this wonderful spiritual development opportunity that will only cost you one hour of your time a month\, but lead to a lifetime of spiritual growth in your Christian Faith!

SUMMARY:Parish Jubilee Coffee Hour
DESCRIPTION:The Monsignor James S. Conlan Knights of Columbus Council #5329 will be hosting a free Coffee Hour after the Sunday\, March 8\, 2026 11:15a mass in the Parish Hall at the Church of the Infant Savoiur. Coffee\, light beverages and snacks such as muffins will be served. All Infant Saviour Parish members are welcome to attend and there is no charge for the event. \nWe will also be playing some homilies given by our Church’s past pastor Monsignor James S. Conlan for those interested in listening to them. The homilies were recorded during seminary teaching sessions in the 1970s and 1980s. These were typical though of Monsignor Conlan’s Sunday homilies and allow Parish members who were not able to hear his homilies to experience one. It also offers parish members who did know the Monsignor a chance to relive what it was like to hear him speak. He was an excellent homilist and orator much beloved by our Parish community. Our Pine Bush Knights Council is named in his honor. \nThis Coffee Hour is part of our Parish Jubilee Year celebration events that will be held throughout the year and hosted by groups/members of our Parish Community to foster parish community life and remember our Parish’s rich history as a church community over the past 100 years of its existence. We hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:2024 Annual Pine Bush Memorial Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 will be marching in Annual Pine Bush Memorial Day Parade in support of our veterans and active military service soldiers with special remembrance of all those veterans who have died in service to our country  whether in times of peace or war\, in service or retirement. \nThe Annual Pine Bush Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday\, May 27\, 2024. The parade steps off at 9a ET and all Brother Knights interested in joining should gather at the Crispell Middle School rear parking lot by 8a ET. The parade will then continue down Maple Avenue and around onto North Street with the route ending at the Town of Crawford Town Park. A ceremony will be held at the Veterans’ Memorial monument in the park to remember all those veterans who have passed away with local State\, County\, and Town officials officiating the service. The Memorial monument has been recently refurbished and improved. A dedication ceremony of the new improved monument will also be held. Many other civic and non-profit community organizations are expected to join us in the parade including the American Legion Post 1308 Pine Bush NY and the Eugene Kelly Catholic War Veterans Post 1937 (Pine Bush NY). Several of our members will be marching with these organizations as they are veterans who are also part of these wonderful civic organizations that provide veterans with a chance to continue to serve their communities in their retired civilian life as well as find support among fellow veterans in that community service. \nMore information can be found here.

SUMMARY:Annual 2023 Parish Christmas Tree Lighting
DESCRIPTION:The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 will be lighting the Church of the Infant Saviour Parish Christmas Tree immediately after the 5 pm Mass on Saturday\, December 2\, 2023. Before being lit\, the tree will be blessed by Fr. Niranjan Rodrigo as is tradition in our Parish. The mass is estimated to end around 6 pm\, but it is recommended to arrive slightly before this time so you do not miss the tree lighting if you are not attending the mass. All are welcome to attend and join in as we begin the Advent liturgical season with this wonderful event! \nIn years past\, our Council donated a tree to the Parish and then decorated it. Last year\, through a generous donation\, the Parish was given a tree that was able to be planted. One of our Brother Knights (who wishes to remain anonymous) has spent the past year taking care of it with proper watering and feedings. The tree has grown since then and filled in very nicely. The plan is to let the tree grow for another few seasons so it gets at least 10-12′ tall. It is currently around 8′ tall this year as of this writing. With a new permanent tree for the Parish\, we now are responsible for decorating the tree each year along with its upkeep throughout the year. We will also take the decorations down once the Christmas season ends. This annual event is part of of our Council’s community service to the Parish and yet another way we give back charitably to our Parish Community. \nThe Church of the Infant Saviour is located at 22 Holland Ave.\, Pine Bush\, NY 12566. Directions can be found below. \n
