2020 Christmas Dinners Fundraising 50/50 Raffle

50/50 Raffle Fundraiser - Supporting our 2020 Christmas Dinners Program for the needy.

 

The Knights of Columbus Monsignor James S. Conlan Council #5329 will be holding a 50/50 raffle fundraiser with only 50 tickets chances being sold in order to support our Annual Christmas Dinners for the Needy program. Each raffle ticket is $50 and with only 50 chances being offered this is a great opportunity to help out local needy families, as well as, win a great cash prize. There will be one grand prize winner receiving a $1,250 cash prize! The remaining proceeds raised by the raffle will be used by our Council to offset the costs incurred by our Annual Christmas Dinners for the Needy program.

 

Each year our Council donates a full Christmas dinner for needy families throughout the Pine Bush Central School District area including food challenged families in the Towns of Shawangunk, Crawford, Wallkill, Montgomery, and Mamakating. Families are selected in partnership with other community charitable programs and in partnership with local school nurses in the PBSCD who connect families in need with the community support program who we in turn support with food for the program. We have been doing this program annually for over a decade. It has helped to feed hundreds, if not several hundred, families throughout the area who are desperately in need of food and would not otherwise have such a wonderful meal for Christmas. Most years the demand is to feed over 30 families though in years of high need (which we expect this year to be given the ongoing pandemic and economic challenges) we have fed up to 72 families.

 

Any further proceeds left over from this fundraiser will be used to further offset costs of our other charitable programs conducted throughout the year including our Coats for Kids jacket give away program, our various charitable donations to families in need throughout the Parish community throughout the year, and support of other community organizations conducting good works in our local area in line with our Catholic faith. No money raised will ever be used for Council’s own expenses related to our administrative costs and all money is used for charitable good works only. We are good stewards with every dollar donated and make sure every cent of it goes to those who need it the most in our community.

 

The Raffle grand prize drawing will be at our February 2021 Council meeting (currently tentatively scheduled for 2/11/21). The winner will be contacted by our Council by at least the following day and arrangements will be made for the prize to be delivered at that time.

 

This raffle is open to all local members of our Pine Bush community, as well as, all Parishioners at the Church of the Infant Saviour. Our goal is to make sure the winner is local so that prize money will help one of our donors within our local Parish community as well. We will not, for privacy purposes, be announcing the name of the winner though we will let you know when the drawing has taken place so you know a winner has been randomly selected.

 

To purchase raffle tickets, please contact us to arrange payment and ticket pickup. Once again, tickets are $50 each and only 50 tickets will be sold.
